Caldy v Hoylake U16s

A beautiful Sunday morning on the 1st XV pitch at Paton Field provided the perfect setting for Caldy u16s to take on their local rivals Hoylake. Both teams were keen to test themselves as their most recent game had ended in a draw last season.

The game was played at a fast pace with lots of good, fair physical play. Caldy made the quicker start and had a healthy lead at halftime, but Hoylake fought back in the second half scoring a couple of good tries to reward their efforts. Caldy proved the stronger overall in a game played in fine rugby spirit enjoyed by all watching on from the bank. Thanks to all the players, coaches & supporters from both clubs.
