That Friday Feeling – 12th April 2024

As we move towards the business end of the season the senior sides are gearing up for the final few games to end the season on a high. Caldy’s 2nd xv are at home against Sedgley Park in a game which carries double league points as the result will be deemed to also attach to the postponed fixture at Sedgley’s Park Lane ground which was unplayable earlier in the season due to waterlogging. The 2nd xv hit the thousand points mark in last week’s comprehensive win away at Blackburn.

Caldy’s 2nd xv coach Andrew Soutar was delighted to include a number of Senior Colts in last week’s side and has included 5 Senior Colts in tomorrow’s squad against Blackburn “The Senior Colts side finished their league season as Champions of the Raging Bull A League winning 13 out of 14 league matches with the only blemish being an away loss against Sedgley last November. These young Ravers represent Caldy’s future” The match kicks off at Paton Field at 2.30 pm.

On Sunday Caldy’s 1st xv travel to Doncaster’s Castle Park Stadium to take on the Doncaster Knights with a 2.30 kick off. The Knights will be looking to reverse their 24-19 defeat at Paton Field in the match just prior to Christmas.
