Caldy Rugby Club Announces Rescheduled Fixture Following Championship Rugby Disputes Committee Decision

Caldy Rugby Club, after careful consideration and in alignment with the decision made by the Championship Rugby Disputes Committee, is pleased to announce the rescheduled fixture for the Championship Rugby, Round 6 clash against Bedford Blues. The game will now take place on the weekend of 10th February 2024,

Current plans are for Saturday 10th February 2024, Kick-off at 2 pm.

The Championship Rugby Disputes Committee, after reviewing the circumstances surrounding the abandoned game, has determined that the safety concerns raised by some players regarding the pitch conditions were valid. In the interest of fairness and player welfare, the decision to reschedule the fixture was reached to ensure a competitive and safe environment for all participants.

Caldy Rugby Club extends its gratitude to both Bedford and Caldy supporters for their understanding and patience throughout this process. The Club recognises the anticipation and excitement that surrounded the original fixture and is committed to delivering an exceptional and safe rugby experience for all involved.

To all supporters who had purchased tickets for the original fixture, please note the following important information:

• Cancellation via Ticket and Co: All tickets for the original Championship Rugby, Round 6 fixture against Bedford Blues will be cancelled via the original ticketing platform, Ticket and Co.
• Refund or Voucher Options: Supporters will have the option to either receive a refund (minus Ticket and Co costs) for their purchased tickets or opt for a voucher to be used for the next Caldy Rugby Club home game.

The Club understands the inconvenience caused by the rescheduling and aims to make the ticket refund or voucher process as seamless as possible. Detailed instructions on how to proceed with these options will be communicated directly to ticket holders through the original ticketing platform.
