Martyn Smith

Caldy RFC are saddened to announce the passing of former Caldy coach Martyn Smith aged 56 years at Arrowe Park Hospital following a short illness.

Martyn leaves behind two children Joe (22) and Bethan (25) who have both been involved at the club since an early age Martyn was a valued member of the club and coached Joe’s age group from Under 6s and stayed with the side until they reached senior colts.

Martyn then helped out Sooty and CJ with the 2nd XV for two seasons. Martyn’s dad PC Smith played rugby at Caldy for many years and is well known to all.

Martyn will be missed by all. Rest In Peace Martyn
