Caldy RFC tackles Essential Jobs

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, donated materials, and contributed financially to our recent work party weekend at Caldy Rugby Club.
You all helped enormously towards sprucing up the grounds and clubhouse in preparation for the new rugby season, including shifting 10 tonnes of topsoil, laying 100m2 turf, digging, seeding, raking, painting all the pitch barrier posts, external fencing and internal toilets, cleaning, clearing and skipping rubbish. An amazing team effort in both pouring rain and hot sunshine over the weekend which made a massive difference in a short period of time.
General maintenance and repairs are ongoing throughout the season thanks to our dedicated “Last Of The Summer Wine” team, who work during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If anyone has any spare time or wants to help on a regular basis please feel free to come along and introduce yourself to Head Groundsman, Phil Wylie, who always has plenty on the to-do list!
Many thanks & I hope to see you up at the club soon
