Last week’s epic match against Ealing Trailfinders which resulted in a narrow home loss left Caldy’s squad battered and bruised. It doesn’t get any easier this week as the Ravers face another tough encounter away against Coventry. Coventry are one of England’s most iconic clubs and their full-time status is always a challenge for the part time Ravers who have only picked up one win in their 9 previous meetings, 2 in National 1 and 7 in the Champ.
4th placed Coventry lag only Ealing in the number of points scored this season with their 793 points comparing very favorably with Caldy’s more modest 496 points. The Ravers will have their work cut out on Coventry’s fast ‘turf’ and with an eye to the probable quick pace of the game and the numerous injuries from last week, Caldy’s Head Coach Matt Cairns has selected what is surely one of Caldy’s youngest ever Champ sides with eight of the squad being under 23. The squad includes debuts for hooker Alfie Longstaff and back row forward Will Bennett.

Matt Cairns has picked the following squad for tomorrow’s away fixture at the Nick Newbold Stadium against Coventry.
The match against Coventry kicks off at 3.00 pm.
1. Monty Weatherby
2. Matt Gallagher
3. Joe Sproston
4. Sam Olyott
5. Dylan Hodkinson
6. Will Bennett (Caldy debut )
