Caldy – That Friday Feeling 20th February ’26

, , , , , ,

After last week’s disappointing home loss to Cornish Pirates the Ravers need to pick themselves up to face the formidable Worcester Warriors at their home ground at Sixways Stadium. One player needing no further motivation is Caldy scrum half and former Warriors player Ollie Wynn who found himself without a club when Warriors went into Administration back in September 2022.

The 24-year-old has thrived at Caldy, and the Ravers supporters will be hoping that he can spark the team into a more urgent performance at the Sixways. The strength of the full-time Warriors squad was on display earlier in the season at Paton Field when they just pipped the Ravers with a score in the final play of the game to win through 15-17. Every Ravers supporter who was at Paton Field that day was numbed by the ‘OMG moment’ of the final score by Warriors’ winger Jake Garside which occurred after some 55 minutes of elapsed time in the second half.

There is a small element of rotation in the starting team compared to last week although the continuing excellence of loose head prop Monty Weatherby means no rotation for the Cheshire farmer who is once again in the starting lineup. Dylan Carroll steps up from the second xv after a string of powerful performances for the record breaking second xv.
