Caldy – That Friday Feeling 4th April ’25

Two of Caldy’s senior sides are on the road this weekend. The 1st xv are away against Coventry and the 2nd xv were due to travel to Lymm for a Halbro Premier League fixture, but unfortunately this game has been cancelled. However, there is the opportunity to watch live rugby at Paton Field as Caldy’s 3rd xv take on local rivals Capenhurst in a 3rd division west fixture.

Despite great commitment and good passages of play Caldy’s 1st xv have narrowly lost their last two Championship home fixtures against Chinnor and Ampthill. Although the Ravers were pipped 15-17 in the reverse fixture back in October, playing Coventry away at the Butts Park Arena is a formidable challenge. It would be fitting if the Ravers were to upset the odds this weekend and provide one of their staunchest supporters with a memorable birthday present in the week of his 90th birthday. Rod Walker, who has done so very much to guide and advance Caldy RFC deserves the best efforts that every Caldy side can muster this weekend.
