Caldy – That Friday Feeling 6th December ’24

After gaining a battling 4 try bonus point last week in a tough encounter away at Hartpury, this weekend the Ravers welcome Cornish Pirates to Paton Field. The Cornish Pirates would have hoped for dry fine conditions for their fourth visit to the Wirral and they have two hopes for that occurrence – Bob Hope and No Hope !

After torrential rain on Thursday night and gale force winds forecast for the weekend conditions are likely to be a little challenging for both sides. Storm Darragh could bring 70 to 80 mph winds to Paton Field which is likely to test the kicking, passing and extremities of both sets of players.

Despite the prospect of inclement weather, after their 330 mile trek (the longest in the Championship) Cornish Pirates and their supporters will be assured of a warm welcome in Caldy’s small but cosy little wooden club house……..if it is still standing !

Matt Cairns has selected the following squad for tomorrow’s Championship fixture against Cornish Pirates at Paton Field which kicks off at 2.00 pm.
