Caldy – That Friday Feeling 20th December ’24

“It is always the darkest before dawn” according to the medieval saying and the Ravers will be hoping that this is the case.

Yet to win in this season’s Championship, there are a couple of promising portents for Caldy and their steadfast support. Tomorrow’s match will be played on the day of the 2024 Winter Solstice. December 21st is officially the shortest day in the 2024 calendar so Saturday really is the darkest of days when Caldy will welcome London Scottish to Paton Field.

The Ravers have won both previous home encounters against the visitors by very similar score lines 26-19 in March 2023 and 29-19 in November 2023. It is likely to be just as competitive and close this time around and despite the prospect of inclement weather there will be Christmas jumpers and festive spirit on display. Come down and make the difference for Caldy !
