That Friday Feeling – 24th May 2024

Caldy’s last Championship match of the 2023/24 season is this evening against Nottingham at their Lady Bay ground with a 7.45 pm kick off. The first game of the season back on 21 October 2023 (that’s right 21 October !) was at Paton Field against a pacy and dynamic Nottingham side that took the spoils in a high scoring fixture running out winners by 44-31.

This evening the Ravers will be looking for a repeat of last season’s January 23 fixture at Lady Bay where they prevailed 29-17 in an impressive win on the road. Veteran scrum half Chris Pilgrim, who will be playing his last game of Championship rugby for Caldy and most probably his last ever game of rugby, will be hoping for a good coach journey to Nottingham through the madness of late May Bank Holiday traffic. However it could get a tad messy on the journey home. WOLWAOTB!

Head Coach Matt Cairns has selected the following squad for tonight’s 1st XV Championship away fixture at PLady Bay against Nottingham which kicks off at 7.45 pm.
