Caldy U16s win away at New Brighton.

On a cold and windy afternoon, Caldy u16s travelled to play New Brighton away on their 1st XV pitch. The game started with lots of physicality from both sides. After some good handling from both forwards and backs, Caldy ran in a few tries in the latter part of the first half.

Scrums, lineouts ( with our first steal, too! ), and rucks continued to be hotly contested during the second half. There were further good team tries and a couple of solo efforts from breaks. Our conversion kicker coped very well with the windy conditions and landed several kicks from difficult angles. Caldy won 43-12, but New Brighton played very well and were tough competitors.
