David Adams 1929-2021

David “Dai” Adams was a proud Welshman born in Cardigan, he studied at Loughborough College before becoming a teacher. He moved to the Wirral to teach. Dai was a well-respected Referee and went on to become Secretary and President of the Liverpool & District Referees Society. He also worked with Cheshire County Rugby where he was Secretary and President from 2001-02.

He was made a life member of Cheshire Rugby and a long-standing member of Caldy Rugby Club for over 50 years, He was instrumental in developing Mini and Youth Rugby and he also belonged to the LOSW working with many other Referees from the club. He was made a life member of Caldy for his contribution to the club and to the wider Rugby community. 

He will be greatly missed by his family and the greater Rugby Community; we will notify everyone of the funeral arrangements when we have them.

Dai Adams Funeral is on 22nd December at 1.00pm at St Bridgets West Kirby

We believe the wake will be at Caldy Rugby Club.
